Properly. [He scoffs.] It doesn't matter how educated you sound, an insult is still an insult.

[He keeps staring, before finally his gaze strays to the ground.] Funny. Her and you had very different things to say.

She might forgive herself, but I doubt she'd forget me if I let anything happen to you. I can't do that. I can't let you leave. Not yet anyway. I'd offer to go with you, but... [Shrugs. They both know his track record of looking after friends.]

I know that, but it doesn't make it any easier to knock something I've had drilled into me since I was a child. That's why I said if that's who you are and how you want to speak, it's okay. But I did notice you only do it when you're angry or upset.

[ She watches him as his gaze turns away from her. ] What did she say?

[He finally looks back at her.] You're right. I have to keep you safe, Weiss. You might not be happy about it, you might even resent me, but I'm just asking you to trust me. It's better than the alternative.
