[ She's not going to tell Jaune that he was just the first one that Battler made her watch, but she's sure he can figure it out. [ She gets the feeling Jaune gave up a memory, but if it's just that something feels off.. she doubts there's much she can do to figure out what it was. ]

{He had avoided looking at anyone when he woke up. He didn't want to see their faces. But the numbness gives way to a blind rage.

It's a good thing they're texting. He's going to kill him. It's so screwed up. Everything about this is wrong. Why did Weiss have to give up a part of herself, just because some sick monster decided to go on a murdering spree? He wants to say something to help, but any words he could offer would probably be empty. They wouldn't fix anything. His thoughts kept spiraling in the same self-destructive patter. Weiss had died, Weiss had watched, she had lost something, all because of a stupid idea and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He can't make this better. He thought he had already accepted that. So why is it that much more difficult to come to terms with now?]

It can be. I mean I'll still have to walk, but I'm heading out right now.

[He did mean it. That's part of what terrifies him. He doesn't want to lose someone else important to him. He doesn't want to lose family. Talking himself into it probably takes longer than Jefferson wants. He knows Jefferson forgave him, but he's still nervous about how he'll react. When he does reach Jefferson's apartment, he stands outside the door for a few minutes before finally knocking. His throat feels constricted and he's not sure if he'll be able to say anything.]
