I can hardly believe myself either. It's like how does something so wickedly awesome even exist, right? How did such a perfect being come out of such weird DNA. Like, god damn. What are we hugging about?

I don't know if you noticed, but I can be pretty sappy. [his eyes are bright. like when he's holding back tears but he's also deeply moved about something. it feels good to be able to show emotion. for too long, he's just felt numb. he's not uncomfortable with it, but he feels like dave might be, so he tries to tone it down. dave knows. he knows how important it is to dave.]

Right. [he'll just hug-cling to dave for a moment until dave is ready to move. then he'll go grab his christmas present.]

Yeah, you can. [ and it's so important. showing emotions is important and he still struggles thinking it's okay sometimes. jaune is usually really expressive, which is the complete opposite of the last "brother" he had. some part of his head needs to see jaune show something all over his face first to be comfortable doing it himself. like gaining permission. how stupid.

he is not ready to move. he wants to stay there and be held. he has all the time in the world. but after enough time for it to become somewhat awkward, he removes himself.

kind of. he's clinging to his arm now and he only removed himself enough for maneuverability. yeah. someone will have to tell him to stop. ]
