Cinder became the fall maiden, Amber is finally dead, Ozpin is dead, and we're onto the next stage. What part of that do you think someone in Beacon was helping us with?

[ Look, from what she heard Jaune was there so she's not worried about that being anything he doesn't know about. As long as she doesn't talk about specifics of anything there's no threat. ]

Because those are the other people I know might listen. [ She pauses. ] You mean Icy and Battler? Icy broke out of prison during the breach and I knew where Battler was for those months you couldn't find him. [ She figures those little tidbits of information ought to at least pique his interest enough to think she has information of value. She finally pushes herself up to stand up out of the water. ] Come on, I want to get this over with.

I don't think they intentionally helped you. But if Ozpin wasn't too prideful of an idiot things might have turned out differently. Whatever.

Icy? The hot crazy ice-powered villain? No, I meant the alien who tried to take over Nova City and did a terrible job. You knew where Battler was. [He repeats it slowly, trying very hard not to freak out. That sadism and cruelty is still there and he holds onto it. He doesn't move.]

Oh, that guy. Yeah no one was really impressed with him. People who have real power know not to brag about it. [ She holds a hand out to tug him up. ] You seem to keep forgetting I'm not a good person, Jaune. I know a lot of terrible people and about a lot of terrible things I don't tell you about. This particular one is one that I am offering to help a.. "friend" who's terrified because of what these people did in their original world but agreed not to freak out and try to murder them on the spot like he wanted to.

[He almost stumbles into her, yawning into his hand. He says without thinking.] Sometimes I envy that. [He brightens just a little.] So you do have friends. And it's someone you don't hate enough to do a favor for him. Is it the robot?

Cinder killed him. All I really know is that he was arrogant.

[ She's going to shove him ahead then. He can lead the way to somewhere private, so his stuff will get the damp clothes on them. ]

Why do you keep thinking I'm friends with a robot? It's Cassian, and he's not a friend. I said friend like "friend" with quotation marks.

Why wouldn't you be? That's still basically Emerald for a friend. Cassian is your friend.

[ Does Jaune need help being a hobo? Because tents are honestly not great. She'll judge him and teach him how to properly find a good squatting building. ]

Mercury is a friend. Cassian is not a friend. Cassian is an acquaintance with steak.

Dying and making up for what he did to Pyrrha aren't equal. A lot of others were hurt too. He got out easy. And don't be a jerk.

I'm glad Ozpin's the one you're mad at for Pyrrha. That makes most sense.

Are you mocking me or being serious? I'm mad at both of them. But that doesn't stop me from recognizing that Pyrrha never would have felt pressured to be put in that situation if team Creepy Conspiracy hadn't played up on her need to do what's right that anyone who even pays the slightest bit of attention can notice. They never even pretended to act like they weren't responsible.

[ Emerald is very wary of the teleports. Namely the criminal tracker parts. She's not got a wanted level but it makes her uneasy every time. But she'll follow him. ]
