When he finally recovers he's not much better, taking a few steps back and clasping his hands together.]

Dream Sequence for Halloween event

[ It was cold. Far colder than anything Jaune was likely accustomed to, and the room he was in seemed to reflect the temperature in its homeliness too. Everything was either white or pale blue or gray, everything was clean and pristine and clearly expensive. One of the paintings the wall probably was worth more than everything he owned. It was clearly not a place he would be able to recognize and yet if he thought about it, whose home this was would become very obvious.

It didn't look like a home so much as a castle, and yet the door that stood before him would seem extra inviting, somehow warm despite the snow and cold outside.

Should he head in, the room would pretty much seem to slip right past whatever else should be in the room and straight to a privacy screen, backlit with a candle, and a silhouetted figure slowly stepping out of a petticoat. ]

Klein, I'm not done changing yet. I told you to come back later.

[ This clearly wasn't jaune's dream. ]

[This wasn't his bedroom. It wasn't even a place Jaune recognized, and he found himself hugging his arms against his chest to try and stay warm. How had he ended up here? The last thing he remembered was a feeling of exhaustion and then walking into an unfamiliar place. The details were fuzzy, but now that he was here, every detail stood out to him vibrantly. Sometimes, he had wondered about castles, and how people wealthy enough to have them lived. There was something impersonal about it, but the door that stood in front of him felt like a beacon. Without knocking, he entered the room. He didn't immediately figure out what they were doing, but her voice and silhouette put all the pieces in place.]

I'm not...

[He understood now. Could Weiss see his figure? Probably not. He started to circle around it to where she was, feeling a mix of nerves and something stronger as he approached her.]

[ Emerald was still playing it safe. Mercury had sent her off to go hide, but her own decisions had lead to her trying to help out with the cause. Not because it was the right thing to do, but because Jaune and Mercury were pains in the ass for her like this.

Emerald watched him cautiously, not yet moving to strike. She's going to wait until he does goes to move first, keeping her eyes trained on him. ]

[It's a plain, empty warehouse. Jaune thought about renting a hotel room-- just because he could--but he settled on something more removed, instead.

He hadn't bothered to try and attack Emerald. He hadn't even spoken to her yet. He stared at her impassively, moving to a table and picking up a nondescript box.]

We'll get to that, don't worry. Pizza? Knowing you, I'm sure you can smell it. You'll do anything not to starve. Even rely on someone who wants you dead. It's almost sad.

[ It doesn't take long for Weiss to find her counterpart. The better half was far too trusting, far too hopeful that she could trust herself. Even if there had been a couple of bad decisions made, the Snow Angel didn't quite know about the worst of the judgment and still had enough belief in herself to know that yes, she had been thinking about those public announcements before they'd been separated. Buying a house, overall, not the most evil thing a person could do. She didn't know what had happened to Winter, or what happened with Mercury.

Unfortunately, this was one of those few times where Weiss's self-confidence would backfire immensely. Trusting the Ice Queen was far from a great decision, particularly given that the more selfish of the two was focused on making sure that neither of them were going to suffer like they had because of her actions.

Which means that Jaune, wherever he was staying, was going to get a knock on his door. When he opened it, both Weiss's were standing there willingly. ]

[Had Jaune's more considerate half known what the Ice Queen was planning, he would have probably tried stopping her himself regardless of the risk. Jaune had entertained the thought of restraining him somehow. He still might. But for now, Nora was doing a decent job of keeping him distracted.

However, I'm aware that you wouldn't have done something like that if you weren't affected by what was going on. Sun was a vampire and if I hadn't offered myself to him, I don't know what he would've done for blood then. He was already worried he was going to hurt me even when I offered.

Taking that into consideration, you had different needs and no one who could offer a way to sate them. You were starving, in a manner of speaking, and you still managed to stop yourself before you accomplished any irreparable damage. That means even with the girl you liked (me) before that basically at your mercy because you instinctively used your succubus abilities and made me believe I was having a consensual sex dream about you, you still chose to do the right thing in the end.

Even if I'm not comfortable with what happened, I understand why it did and I want to try to forgive you.

Please understand that I'm not going to just suddenly be OK with what happened. You violated my trust in a significant manner then didn't tell me what happened until months after. I thought I subconsciously believed that even the one person who liked me no matter what I did wouldn't even touch me in my dreams. You made me feel bad about myself on top of violating my trust, which I'm sure wasn't your intent but it was a consequence of your actions.

But... I do consider you a friend and I want to try to move forward. Consider us back on speaking terms as long as you accept and respect how I feel.
