[After the last week's monster madness and what happened when they shared dream, Scott knows he owes Jaune an apology. The problem is that he's not as regretful about what they did, they had fun, as he is about the possibility of his Incubus powers influencing Jaune's behaviour.]

Hello, Jaune. This is Scott Summers, we..take before and we..ehm..saw each other last week. You were a mermaid with a really pretty tail... uhm you probably know that already and I had demon wings and a tail...[Why are words so hard. Someone save Scott from himself.]...I wanted to apologize for what happened, in case I made you uncomfortable.

And I'd understand if you don't want to see me again or talk about what happened. So, uhm...[There's an awkward pause, Scott isn't sure what to say any more. In the end, he hangs up in a rush, like the socially awkward loser he is. Well, that could have gone better.]

[After a few days had passed, Jaune had already resigned himself to the fact that Scott wouldn't contact him again. He could understand. Scott had been under the influence of being an incubus, and Jaune had been able to fulfill that purpose as a willing participant. No way would he have fallen for someone like him normally. Oh well.

It had been fun while it lasted.

So the message from him caught him off guard. He doesn't respond at first, shocked he would even approach him. So he didn't hate Jaune enough to never talk to him again. He guessed that was something. They're both feeling awkward and when he responds, it's quiet as if that can hide his uncertainty.]

Livid isn't nearly a severe enough word to describe what he feels. The anger is caustic, almost blinding. How fucking dare he. So he understands why Sun says that. He may not understand fully, feeling the same way he does, but he has his reasons. It's why he doesn't claim that it would be wrong to kill Jacques.

Hi, Jaune. I'm going to get this out of the way before it gets awkward or you start objecting, so here it goes: You're no more a murderer than Cassian is a judgmental Imperial dimwit. But I don't have those memories you do of that time, so obviously I don't understand what it felt like to experience them. I just wanted to let you know that even if I've been... somewhat avoiding the topic, I'm putting it behind me. You should definitely send some flowers to K-2SO to apologize if you haven't already though.

[ They said she can have visitors in the hospital now, so she's getting around to speaking to everyone! She's only there for observation, just because no one's quite sure what Jaune did or how thoroughly, but they're keeping her there to make sure. She's sure he knows what the gratitude is about, and she's also sure that he's probably in the waiting room. ]

I went to the Dream Docks, so we're clear on what I'm mad about. See, there's a thing that friends do where they give each other a heads up when something bad happens so they don't go into it blindly and wake up alone with their partner gone and no idea whether they're dead or alive anymore and no one to ask.

But I guess you never thought of me that way, so I shouldn't be surprised.

It wasn't that I didn't tell you because I didn't care, or because I thought it was funny and I wanted to lead you along. I didn't tell you because it was too painful to talk about. I'm sick of losing people, and seeing Cinder was just another reminder of that. Maybe I was being selfish. I'm sorry about that. I wanted to tell you eventually. Guess I was too late.

I thought about not going back. Maybe I won't, I don't know. We're here now. But you can't just message me like that and tell me that I'm not allowed to text you back after saying all of that. You've been harder than usual to talk to, and that was way before you ever went to the Dream Docks, so if something's wrong, I'm here, but I can't force you to accept that if you just keep pushing me away and blaming everyone else because your life sucks like the rest of ours do.

If it makes any difference, I don't think you died. Something happened and when it was over you, Mercury and Hazel were gone. I doubt they would have bothered to drag a corpse with them.
